*makes his way to the morgue, folding the memo he'd received, and stuffing it into his pocket as he walks* *he'd managed to avoid the morgue for the last few months, but this time he was the only one available, and the case was put into his docket* *and so he pushes the door open and steps in*

*upon finding out it was Longbottom that this case belonged to, felt a sense of wicked glee* *doesn't look too smug as he looks up when the double doors open to reveal the stout form of Neville* *gives him a prim sort of wave into the glass room where the body is on the slab*

*rolls his eyes, but not in an exaggerated motion, at his unwillingness to relax* *airily* Certainly not the bullet that went through his head, which is amazing considering that is generally fatal. *picks up a small baggie with a small metal bullet still maroon with blood*

*frowns at the bullet, taking the baggie so he can look at it more closely* Wizards don't use bullets. So he's been in the muggle world enough to hack someone off there. What else do we know?

*amends* Wizards don't usually use guns. *shrugs* It's certainly a unique point, but the question stands. What else have you got, if the bullet didn't kill the bloke?

*waives the question away* Oh, that question is easy. *hands him the bullet* It was a counter spell. Someone put it on him to keep the bullet from killing him and someone performed the counter spell. Bullet continued it's natural progression and *sticks out his tongue and tips his head* Dead.

*both eyebrows up slightly, more from the expression than from what he's said* So, er *thinks about it a moment* so someone knew he'd be likely to get shot, then later took the protection away. So *the frown deepens* we've got two murderers then. We'll need to get a wand signature on the spell, if there's enough of a trace left. And er *looks at the bullet in the baggie again* I'll have to take this to see what they can figure out about it.

Do we know anything else about our vic? *uncomfortable, and more than ready to escape*

Healthy, no prior breaks, identifying tattooes, or anything else that might give us a clue to his other activities? *groans slightly* Never mind, you've a report for me to take with me, I assume. Can't see why you didn't bother to just forward it on up. *glares, as if it's Malfoy's fault entirely that he has to put up with this conversation*

I've pictures. *takes the book and tucks it under one arm, shoving his hands back into his pockets* And I know you've already gone over the body, and I assume so has the lab, for physical and magical trace. *glances at him, expression bland* I wouldn't think you'd want me poking around, checking your work.

I wouldn't trust you to make any correct assessment of my motives, Longbottom. Nor would you have the specific knowledge to threaten any of my conclusions.

*starts to replace the white cloth over the body* I suppose I merely wondered who I'd be calling down. But it seems that much like everyone else, you remain unchanged.

Can you blame us for being biased? Last time I saw you, you were taking shots at us verbally, and physically, you and your friends were trying to kill the lot of us. It's been a while, but I've not seen what's gone on in between. *frowns* Are you saying Hermione's opinion's changed?
